In August of 1972, Owner and President, Fred Riermann founded Miscellaneous

into decorative and artistically appealing designs.

Paul, as well as other cities such as Rochester, Minneapolis, Duluth and St.

In 1983, Fred Riermann started American Structural Metals and combined
Miscellaneous Metal Fabricators with the new company. Still able to create
artistic metals, the new company expanded into structural beams and metals.
The strong company foundation is built on a reputation of honesty and doing
whatever is necessary to complete a project to a successful and satisfactory
conclusion.

Structural Metals has grown to a multi-million dollar company, sixty
highly trained craftspeople and welders who are ASW (D-1.1) certified.
Starting in a small office and manufacturing facility, this progressive company
and it's experienced management are now housed in 3,000 square feet of office
space, and 35,600 square feet of manufacturing. The plant has three structural
beam lines and can handle almost any size of steel. With over 6.5 acres of yard,
American Structural Metals inventories raw materials, and assemble large
